    we discussed this very “Myth of Meritocracy” in class just yesterday..
     
    Not only is personal success shaped by the support structures society provides, it is highly correlated with access to those resources as shaped  – of course – by family SES, race/ethnicitiy, gender, sexuality, age, and ability
