Romney: “Harvest of Shame”

Romney:  Harvester of Human Beings Resources
by Kay Whitlock

Mitt Romney ludicrously promises to miraculously create 12 million jobs, over the next four years, a number he’s obviously pulled out of his ass the ether because it sounds so. . .so goodto a job-starved nation.

Yeah, right, these “good jobs” are going to come from a guy who doesn’t think folks are entitled to food, health care, housing, or “you name it.”

From a guy who’s invested deeply in companies that outsource.

From a guy who held an photo-op event with coal miners who were forced to attend without pay – and whose company, Murray Energy, pressures them to donate to GOP candidates.

From a guy who has supporters like David Siegel, CEO of a big, Florida-based timeshare outfit, who emailed his employees, threatening significant loss of jobs if President Obama is re-elected. (Gawker fact check on email here.)

Soylent Green Greed: Mitt Romney Style

That’s right.  We’re going to get 12 million new “good jobs” from a guy who used to “harvest” companies for corporate profit, regardless of what happened to the workers.

Oops.  Come to think of it, he harvested thousands of workers, too!

From the profit-ravenous greed of Bain Capital under Mitt Romney’s leadership, and the devastating consequences for workers that often accompanied that greed has been well-documented.  As workers and their families suffered, Mitt made sure his financial interests were protected.

Mitt now promises jobs galore!  (Maybe he means poverty-wage service jobs with no benefits, to take the place of good jobs, including union jobs, with benefits.)

But his record is nothing but a continuation of the harvest of shame.

Here’s a fun fact:  when Mittens took over the Salt Lake City winter Olympics back when they were mired in scandal, he commissioned a bunch of Chinese-made commemorative pins – commemorating not the Olympics, but Mitt!

    • @KayWhitlock Those damn Pins and Seamus should be enough for anyone to be completely horrified by this sociopath

But there is always more more on mItt if this is insufficient

@nancy a heitzeg Also, good ol’ Mitt didn’t “save” the Olympics with private money, but with about $1.5 billion in government funds, an enormous/humongous increase over what U.S. taxpayers had ever provided.

The deeper you look into this guy’s record, the worse it gets.  And he’s standing on the shoulders of “trickle down.”  Not a good look.

  • Soylent Green all right — i knew Charlton Heston would turn up eventually :)

    thanks kay
