  • Thanks for this Kay — I’m not so certain a conviction under the hate crimes law is even probable with its high burden of proof.  NAACP and other groups should be focusing on defeating ALEC, SYG laws, hate talk radio, school to prison pipelines, selective prosecution/enforcement, sentencing disparities, etc. — along with amplifying community mobilization/organization efforts around voting, education, health care, etc.
