Brilliant move by the Obama campaign:
President Obama’s team is offering Mitt Romney a deal on taxes: Publicly release five years of returns, and the Obama campaign will drop its insistence for additional tax information.[TPM]
Romney-Ryan responded with a diatribe of falsehoods:
It is clear that President Obama wants nothing more than to talk about Governor Romney’s tax returns instead of the issues that matter to voters, like putting Americans back to work, fixing the economy and reining in spending.
If Governor Romney’s tax returns are the core message of your campaign, there will be ample time for President Obama to discuss them over the next 81 days. In the meantime, Governor Romney will continue to lay out his plans for a stronger middle class, to save Medicare, to put work back into welfare, and help the 23 million Americans struggling to find work in the Obama economy.See you in Denver.
While Romney claims he paid at least 13% in taxes, ostensibly over the last decade, he still has not explicitly stated that he paid income taxes.
Ryan was also caught lying about begging for stimulus money in private, while he publicly decried stimulus funds.
You can read Ryan’s letters begging for stimulus money here:
Now here’s a rundown on Romney-Ryan’s daily distortions on Medicare:
And finally, a “new Kaiser Family Foundation poll finds that 73 percent say that Medicare is either “extremely” or “very” important as they make their choice for president.”
What do Floridians think about Romney-Ryan’s Plan to get rid of Medicare:
Romney-Ryan Radical Extremists want to make the USA an official oligarchy by getting rid of Medicare, Social Security, Pell Grants — all while asking you to subsidize their wealth by making you pay more taxes. That is the bottom-line.
