This article is really eyeopening around policing tactics, especially in low income neighborhoods or towns. It seems strange to me that the police are looking for crimes to happen in low income neighborhoods, instead of working with actual criminals, that have actually committed serious crimes. The police think that they are preventing crimes by policing high poverty areas, but really, they are finding very minor crimes, that otherwise would not be reported. I think this article was very well written, and included history and modern day events to drive home the point about the Broken Windows theory.
