As the Supreme Court prepares to hear oral arguments over President Obama’s health care overhaul this week, we take a look at the questions at stake each day.

  1. Monday: Can the courts even rule on the constitutionality of the law right now?
  2. Tuesday: Can the government force you to buy health insurance?

  3. Wednesday morning: If the mandate is struck down, do all the other provisions of the law fall? If not, which parts of it remain standing?
  4. Wednesday afternoon: Is Congress unconstitutionally twisting the arms of the states by requiring them to expand Medicaid?
